UK Innovator Visa

This category is for more experienced business people seeking to establish a business in the UK. Applicants will have an innovative, viable and scalable business idea which is supported by an endorsing body. 

The  UK Innovator Visa is one of the fastest and most secure ways of gaining permanent residency in the UK – in just Three Years!

Eligibility  

• Applicants must have access to at least £50,000.
• be 18 or over
• money must be held in a regulated financial institution
• be able to support yourself during your stay in the UK. The Applicant must have £945.00. The funds must have been held in the account for a consecutive 90 days.
• prove your knowledge of Intermediate English (CEFR B2 Level)

Endorsement of Business Plan

All applicants for entry clearance or leave to remain must have been endorsed in this category. Endorsement for initial applications will be based on the assessment of whether applicants’ business ideas are innovative, viable and scalable.

The applicant must provide an endorsement letter issued by the endorsing body.

Business Plan Implementation

Applicants will be asked to stay in contact with their endorsing body with checkpoints after 6, 12 and 24 months. The endorsing bodies must be satisfied that applicants are continuing to work on their business ventures and have either demonstrated reasonable progress with their original ideas or are pursuing new business ideas that are also innovative, viable and scalable.

Initial Leave

Successful applicants will be granted 3 years’ leave.

Indefinite Leave to remain  (Permanent Residency)

After 3 years, Innovators can apply to extend their stay for a further 3 years or to settle permanently in the UK 

Team

If the business venture has one or more other team members who are applying for, or have been granted, leave in the Innovator category, they cannot share the same investment funds. There must be at least £50,000 in investment funds available for each Innovator team member. These additional funds are not needed for team members who are resident workers or who have to leave under another category of the Immigration Rules, which allows them to engage in business.
