What is the UK Expansion Worker Visa?

The UK Expansion Worker Visa is one of the five new routes under the Global Business Mobility Visa(GMB).

The UK Expansion Worker Visa is interesting, yet an update to the previous arrangements. This visa has replaced the previous unsponsored sole representative provisions of the UK Representative of an Overseas Business Visa.

With the addition of new conditions to support trade and economic growth in the UK after Brexit, the UK Expansion Worker Visa allows overseas businesses to deploy up to five representatives to set up business operations in the UK by establishing a branch of an overseas company.  However, if a business is already established and up and running in the UK, the Global Business Mobility – Senior or Specialist Worker Visa is the way to go.
